Dahabiya Ankh – 6-Day Journey from Luxor to Aswan

Welcome on board by the Ankh crew. Settle into your cabin and enjoy dinner as the adventure begins.

After breakfast, visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu, one of Upper Egypt’s best-preserved temples. Alternate between sailing and walks along the riverbanks, passing desert and lush landscapes. Stroll through gardens of palms, mango trees, and sugarcane. Visit the Nubian village of Fawaza and a local home to learn about their customs and cuisine. Taste homemade bread or fetir with fresh cheese before returning to the boat. Continue sailing to Fares and onward to Munhia.

After breakfast, sail from Munhia toward Kom Ombo. Visit the stunning riverside temple dedicated to two deities: Horus the falcon and Sobek the crocodile.

Continue on foot to the village of Daraw to explore its souk and traditional camel market.

Proceed to the Nubian village of Kobaneya for a relaxed stroll through its peaceful lanes.

Enjoy breakfast on board as you sail toward Aswan, arriving in the early afternoon.

Later, visit the enchanting Temple of Philae, beautifully relocated on Agilkia Island.

End the day wandering through the vibrant souks of Aswan.

Enjoy a free day in Aswan or opt for an early-morning excursion to Abu Simbel. Departure around 4:00 am for the drive across the desert (approx. 300 km / 3 hours), followed by a visit to the two grand temples of Ramses II and Nefertari. Return to Aswan for lunch on board and afternoon sailing back toward Edfu.
