Program
Board the Ankh and receive a warm welcome from the Nubian crew. Begin your cruise southward and enjoy an afternoon walk off the beaten track through the fields along the Nile, meeting local farmers.
At sunset, visit a quarry at Gebel Silsileh, source of the sandstone used for many of Egypt’s grand temples.
Overnight on board.
Visit the unique Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to Sobek and Horus, designed with perfectly symmetrical architecture.
Continue sailing along Nubian riverbanks toward Daraw to attend the lively animal market negotiations, arriving via local transportation. Enjoy a stroll through the town before returning to the boat.
Walk along the Nile’s shores to meet more farmers, then sail onward to your mooring point a few kilometers north of Aswan.
Dinner and overnight on board along the river.
Sail the final stretch to Aswan. Breakfast on Board before check-out.
